Through the wire a champion has touched the sky causing all of the lights to be paranoid with his ultralight beam. The genius himself Kanye West has done it yet again leaving blood on the leaves as he enjoys the fruits of his labor with another enriching album. With track titles such as Husband and River an array of expressions were touched. I wanted to explore one of my personal favorites on the album. Follow me on a FIELD TRIP. The whirlwind of notes started with a high rise nod to the genre of bubblegum rap immediately into the chorus with Playboi Carti and Don Toliver. Let’s set the scene: an extremely catchy song, a much appreciated Carti verse, a hypnotizing beat, the unstoppable duo bringing us another hit from a second collab (Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West) - the vibes were immaculate. Then something of a hidden gem got dropped in conjunction with another world-wide gem that has graced us from Broward County for years: Kodak Black and a sample from Portishead’s Machine Gun. As a fan, I absolutely lost it. Tastefully done with the right artist receiving the honor was a power move even I was impressed by. Special thanks should be given to the producers which are Wheezy, Dez Wright, EJ PARIS, The Legendary Traxster and AyoAA for making it a seamless and tasteful crossover. The song was a major hit and has already gone DIAMOND in my car. Also, if anyone was curious, LIFESTYLE has gone Multiplatinum in my car. Whether it’s pushing a pen, a beat, or pushing the envelop, there is a timelessness within a four five second time frame that can altar a perspective on music. Those pockets of enlightenment are meant to run with wolves. It is meant to keep us forever rolling with the notion that even when we are lost in the world, it’s music that keeps our spirit alive. Although the song lasted 2 minutes and 47 seconds, hearing it for the first time is a sensation I will always want to be bounded to. It is a new experience in a whole new view.
El talento alcanza un objetivo que nadie mas puede alcanzar; El genio alcanza una objetivo que nadie mas puede ver.
Talent hits a target no one else can hit; Genius hits a target no one else can see.
